Jonathan Markow is the board chair and acting executive director of JA-SIG, a global consortium of hundreds of educational institutions and commercial affiliates, supporting community source software development and sharing and collaborating on open technology for higher education.
Jonathan also assists higher education, social service, and other non-profit groups as an IT management consultant.
Previously, Jonathan managed enterprise software applications, data warehouse, and web development for Columbia University as assistant vice president of Columbia’s Administrative Information Services group.
Jonathan lives with his family in New York City, where he plays jazz piano as frequently as he possibly can, which is not nearly enough.
